Policy changed or adopted (50 points) 50 SSDP Chapter members were heavily active in the passing of recreational Cannabis in Illinois in the spring of 2019. Our members met with decision-makers to advocate for those under the age of 21 as well as those heavily impacted by the war on drugs, specifically, people of color. Our members will continue to be active as the legal Illinois Cannabis industry takes shape, holding decision-makers accountable for creating an equitable industry for all people.
Policy changed or adopted (50 points) 50 DePaul SSDP successfully lobbied DePaul University to increase accessibility to Naloxone by placing kits throughout campus as well as overdose prevention training all first responders including Resident Hall Advisors, Public Safety Officers, and many other staff members at the University!
